MANILA – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) now has a second solar power rooftop.

In a statement, Propmech Corporation said it installed the 110.7-kilowatt peak (kWp) photovoltaic system on the Third Atrium Building of the ADB's Manila headquarters.
Propmech also installed the ADB's first solar rooftop – a 571.2-kWp facility built atop the Segment C Facilities block that was inaugurated on June 5, 2012. -

MANILA, Philippines - St. Scholastica's College (SSC) in Manila has joined the growing number of establishments that have installed solar panels in their buildings for their power requirements. In a ceremony yesterday, SSC turned a portion of its rooftop into a 96-kilowatt solar power facility that can generate 38.88 percent of the daily requirements of the school's St. Cecille Hall at 813 kilowatt-hours.

Asian Development Bank, Propmech Corporation launch ADB solar rooftop power plant
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) together with Propmech Corporation and distinguished guests inaugurated the ADB solar rooftop power plant as part of the events during the Asian Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) last June 4-8, 2012.
The ACEF was jointly organized by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and ADB in 2006 with the aim of sharing best practices in policy, technology, and finance to meet the region's climate and energy security challenges.

Solar power firms fasttrack expansion
Manila, Philippines - Propmech Corp. and Green Heat Corp., two integrated systems providers specializing in solar panels , are fasttracking their expansion in rural and urban areas. The firms want to tap far-flung areas for solar power generation and companies for the installation of solar panels in rooftops, officials said.
"We are doing parallel efforts in marketing in rural and urban areas. There will be efforts to develop both markets," said Manuel Peter Solis, legal counsel of Propmech-Green Heat.
